What is Tapping Therapy?

Wiki defines tapping therapy as an “Emotional Freedom Technique.” (EFT) It is a form of counseling intervention that draws on various theories of alternative medicine including acupuncture, neuro-linguistic programming, energy medicine, and Thought Field Therapy (TFT).

I was introduced to this practice through a great friend and EFT practitioner Marion Solis. She had explained the many benefits and success stories of her clients to me but it was not until a few of my personal friends worked with her that I decided to schedule a session of my own. I was still very skeptical!

How would tapping my fingers on my head help me? I trusted Marion but was not sure what I was getting myself into. I know I have some emotional and financial blocks happening in my life so I went into our session with an open mind and open heart hoping to make some progress. Within minutes of starting our session I knew she was on to something. By the end of our time together I had booked four more sessions!

Marion has a true gift and explained everything in great detail. Our tapping session was done over the phone, really easy to follow, and simple to understand. If you feel like you’re holding on to any emotional stress, have blocks from past trauma, or simply need a little guidance in your life I would HIGHLY recommend a tapping session!

Throw your scale in the trash!

Do you want to track your gains or weight loss progress without obsessing over the scale?

Taking your measurements and progress photos regularly is a great way to keep yourself motivated. It can feel defeating when your clothes are fitting better but the scale does not read back the number you want to see.

You’ll often hear people say “muscle weighs more than fat!” Not true… a pound is a pound.  A pound of fat weighs the same as a pound of muscle. The structure is different! Muscle takes up less space than fat that’s for sure! Avoid the scale.

When you get into the zone and get focused on your fitness you’ll be replacing fat with muscle. The scale might not budge. In fact, it might go UP! There are so many factors including water retention, hormones, and sleep to name a few. By consistently taking progress photos and measurements you will be able to track your progress and see the changes that happen over time.

In this video I will help you with what to measure, how to measure, and which angles to photograph. I believe you’ll have more accurate numbers if you have someone else measure for you. I suggest tracking every 3-6 months.
